What does AZ Merchant Services actually do?

It is a financial consulting business focused on credit card processing. That means reviewing what a business pays to accept cards, explaining how those costs are built, and advising on whether the current setup makes sense.

What should I bring to a consultation?

A recent merchant processing statement is the single most useful document. If you have equipment lease paperwork or a signed processing agreement, bring those too — the terms in them often matter as much as the rates.

Will I be told to change processors?

Only if the numbers support it. Sometimes an existing arrangement is competitive and the right advice is to keep it. The point of the review is clarity, not a signature.

Do you work with businesses outside Gilbert?

Yes. The office is on S Gilbert Rd in Gilbert, and businesses in Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale, Apache Junction, Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Fountain Hills, Glendale and Coolidge are all served.

My rate looks low on paper. Is that enough to go on?

Usually not. A quoted rate rarely reflects the full picture once monthly fees, PCI charges, batch fees and card-mix surcharges are counted. The number that matters is the effective rate — total fees divided by total volume — and that comes off the statement, not the sales sheet.

What kinds of businesses do you typically help?

Any business that takes cards: restaurants, retail shops, service and trade companies, professional practices and online sellers. The structure of processing costs works the same way across all of them.
